Will I lose my .com domain if I move to wordpress?

  If I transfer my domain from my current registrar, will I lose my .com address for a wordpress one or can i keep my .com address?

  Hi there,

  If you transfer a domain to us, it will stay exactly how it is. Transferring a domain only changes which provider has control over the domain, who you must pay for its annual renewal. It makes no changes to the domain itself.

  Note that to transfer a domain to WordPress.com requires that you first have a WordPress.com site, and upgrade the site to one of our paid plans.
