Will I mess up my wordpress.org blog if I tamper with the url of the .com one?

I transferred my wordpress.com blog to wordpress.org. The url (kanemckeown.com) was successfully transferred and wordpress.com defaulted the blog’s url back to kanemckeown.wordpress.com. Typing that address in redirects you to my wordpress.org site, but I would still like to be able to link people to my old blog. So, I changed the url in wordpress.com to thewritekane.wordpress.com but even that gets redirected to my kanemckeown.com wordpress.org site. How can I revive my old blog so that people can still view it but also have it exist as a completely different website?

No, in order to achieve what you are looking for (people to be able to access kanemckeown.wordpress.com) we just need to cancel the Domain Mapping upgrade for kanemckeown.com.
