Will private website remain private if mapped to a new domain? plus more qns…

  PLEASE TELL ME WHERE TO FIND THE ANSWER TO THIS. I want to map a .org.uk domain to my blog exlabdorset.wordpress.com.
  I have bought the domain through heartinternet. At the moment exlabdorset.wordpress.com is private as we are still working on it. If I map exlab.org.uk to it will it remain private until we un-private it? Also I have 2 blogs, exlabproject and exlabdorset, both of which I reach through the same login. I want to make sure the .org.uk domain name is pointed at the correct one, how do I do this please? Thanks.

  Hi there,

  Mapping a domain won’t affect your privacy settings, so if your blog is set to private, it’ll remain private.

  This guide should come in handy when you map your domain:

  In particular, you’ll need to add the domain to the appropriate blog’s dashboard at Store -> Domains. If you want to map the domain to exlabdorset.wordpress.com, then you can assess that blog’s dashboard here:
