  If you want, you can set your homepage to display a set number of posts before the visitor needs to go to a second page to view the older posts. You can click My Site → Settings → Reading and change the number next to “Blog page shows at most” – please check out this page for instructions: https://wordpress.com/support/settings/reading-settings/#blog-pages-show-at-most
