Wix domain name registration

    Hi, I have purchased my domain name through Wix, only to find that mapping Wix domains to WordPress sites is complicated. Currently WordPress is showing that the domain ‘meenaanderson.com’ is already mapped. However, entry of that URL in a browser returns an error.

    To point Wix DNS servers to WordPress costs $14/month, which I don’t want to pay. There’s apparently –perhaps?–a way to map the domain using A (host) names but I need to get that from WordPress.

    I have also initiated a transfer of my domain from Wix to WordPress (had a code emailed to me) but what I really need are some simple instructions to accomplish that as well. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi there,

    I see that you have initiated the domain transfer. This will take five to seven days to complete. If you want to speed up the process you can contact your current registrar (Wix) and ask them to expedite the transfer (if possible).

    Also, since the process has already started you cannot make any DNS changes.
