  I keep trying to upgrade my site and I get the message ‘There was an error validating your contact information. The field ‘first_name’ is not valid.’

  1. Clear the browser cache. Here’s how to clear your browser cache: https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache
  2. Alternatively, you can try logging in from a different browser.
  3. Go to your checkout page and fill out the details in the contact information section.
  4. Try proceeding to payment and see if it works.
