  I’ve had a web developer create a site for me and I want to connect to the woo commerce app to allow mobile management of orders.
  It appears I can’t connect to the app without a wordpress acct & can’t link a new wordpress acct to the existing website.
  How do I achieve mobile management of my website orders.

  I don’t have a site linked to this WordPress.com account

  When I attempt to download jetpack through the website admin I get a mwssage saying ‘could not activate the jetpack plugin the response is not a valid JSON response’

  Thanks for confirming.

  Yes to connect to the WooCommerce app (as well as use services like WooCommerce Payments) and PayPal Payments you will need for the site to have a working Jetpack connection.

  Typically you will just install the plugin and follow the on-screen prompts to connect your WordPress.com account (which also connects WooCommerce) and you are all set.
