Hi there!
We checked both sites from our end and everything is loading correctly — the servers, the site content, and the API are all responding fine. There are no SSL issues either (on
*.wordpress.comaddresses, SSL is automatic and doesn’t expire). There was a brief connectivity issue on May 20 that affected some
.wordpress.comsites depending on users’ ISPs. That’s been resolved, but some residual network effects could linger. To help us dig further, we need a couple of things from you:
- What URL are you on when the spinning happens? Please copy-paste the full address from your browser’s URL bar (for example, is it
wordpress.com/posts/chab123.wordpress.comorchab123.wordpress.com/wp-admin?). - Share a screenshot of the spinning page — the full browser window including the URL bar.
- Try accessing your dashboard from your phone using mobile data (not Wi-Fi) and let us know if it works — this helps rule out a network routing issue with your ISP.
Looking forward to your replies!

Thank you for your help. I am not sure what happened, but you are correct that it is now loading correctly. The only thing it is not doing now is on the homepage I no longer see my all posts listed on the right side as well as the place where it has my FB following and where it says “followers.” It has vanished.

Hi,
If your WordPress.com dashboard loads but all admin pages keep spinning, and you’ve already completed the standard troubleshooting steps, this may indicate an issue with the site’s connection to WordPress.com services rather than something on your local device.
Since you’re unable to access the domain or SSL settings, staff will likely need to investigate the SSL status, REST API connectivity, and site connection on the backend.
Could you confirm whether the issue occurs in an incognito/private browser window and whether you see any specific errors in your browser’s developer console (F12 → Console)? That information may help the support team diagnose the problem more quickly.
In the meantime, you’ll need assistance from WordPress.com staff to check the SSL provisioning and site connection for chab123 . wordpress.com.

The spinning problem is solved. My other issue is this:
On the homepage I no longer see my all posts listed on the right side as well as the place where it has my FB following and where it says “followers.” Or the bar where people could subscribe to the blog. It has vanished

Glad to hear the spinning issue is resolved!
The sidebar content (posts list, Facebook following, followers, subscribe bar) disappeared because of the theme switches in late May. When you switch (classic) themes, WordPress automatically moves your sidebar widgets to an “Inactive Widgets” area. The content hasn’t been deleted, it’s just been set aside.
Before restoring everything, it’s worth deciding which theme you’d like to stick with. Since you switched between Plane, Infield, and Nook, you’ll want to be on your final choice before adding widgets back. Otherwise, another theme switch would move them to Inactive Widgets again.
Once you’ve settled on a theme, the steps to restore your sidebar depend on the type of theme you’re using:
If you’re using a classic theme:
- Go to your dashboard and navigate to Appearance → Widgets.
- Scroll down to the “Inactive Widgets” section at the bottom.
- Drag each widget (Recent Posts, Facebook, Followers, Subscribe, etc.) from “Inactive Widgets” back into your sidebar area.

If you decide to use a block theme:
Block themes handle things differently. They don’t use the traditional widget system. Instead, you’d manage sidebar-style content through the Site Editor (Appearance → Editor). You would add blocks (like Latest Posts, Social Icons, etc.) directly into your template rather than dragging widgets.

Please let us know which theme you’d like to keep, and we can help further if needed!
Best,
