Word Press DNS Name Servers to 3rd party URL forwarding

    Hello! I need to switch my non-subscription wordpress site name to a third party registered name server. Here’s my dilemma the DNS name servers for wordpress are not visible in the wordpress domain management menu.

    So I currently can not make use of custom DNS records settings to change how my domain works. How can I connect my wordpress domain to a registered third-party service that is not hosted on WordPress.com?

    Hi there,

    I don’t see any domains in your account. Of what domain are you speaking?

    If you are trying to make your WordPress.com site, http://mixedcapitalmedia.wordpress.com/, appear at a domain you registered somewhere else, you need to purchase a plan at My Site ->Plans, which will then allow you to add the domain mapping upgrade:

    Use a Domain You Already Own (Domain Mapping)

    If you want to direct traffic to the WordPress.com address somewhere else, you need the site redirect upgrade. The free WordPress.com address is on a subdomain of the WordPress.com domain, so it’s not possible to add any DNS records to the free address.
