"Word trash" Splashing on First Page of My Blog
-
I am suddenly displaying an overlay of text that I did not upload on the first page of my blog … it doesn’t seem to affect any of my entries when you go to them through the archive links, so this “word trash” is only splashing on my first page. I have tried clearing cookies and browser history through my browsing client (Firefox), but the situation remains. The “word trash” is splashing on the content portion of the first page, and does not affect the header or border spaces of the first page or any other page on my blog, for that matter. It’s ugly what is now going on and I’m upset. Please HELP! Thank you. – Victoria Generao, author of spreadaloha.wordpress.com

You have the perfect example of a cumulative HTML error from copy-pasting from Word or some other program that is not web-compatible.
To prevent this, use a blog editor like Windows Live Writer or blogdesk.

I am on a Mac and don’t have access to Windows Live Writer or blogdesk. I deleted the offending post and this morning uploaded a different post and got more word-splash junk occurring. Very frustrating, as I’m not that tech-savvy. How can I delete this junk?
