  Some genius decided it would be a good idea to upgrade my account to 5.0 last night. I have no way to post items on my theme. I have no idea how to fix this. I would much rather just stick with what I had.
  Every effort to publish a page results in ‘publishing failed’ .

  Thank you in advance for your help. We are a small community radio station with no computer ability, and we have just had a major community-wide disaster. Taking time to learn a new version of WP is just not in the cards right now.

  Hi there,

  Of what site are you speaking? We don’t use version numbers on WordPress.com, and the block editor is opt-in only here – you wouldn’t see it on your site unless you specifically enabled it. On a WordPress.com site you can switch back to the classic editor at any time:

  If you’re speaking of a self-hosted site, you can install the Classic Editor plugin to disable the new editor:
