WordPress account and my site not linked?
-
I currently have a WordPress account, on this site, using my email address.
I also have my own entirely separate website, and I can log into WordPress on that site (by adding wp-admin to the URL) using the same email address.
The problem is that my account here on WordPress apparently has no knowledge whatsoever of my other site, and I’m at a loss as to how that is or how to change that. Since I’m logging into WordPress on my site, shouldn’t my account here – under the same email address – at least recognize my site in some fashion?
Thank you for any replies.
The two sites that are mine, but also separate, are patientexercises.com, and patientexercises.wordpress.com.

Hi there.
You can connect your site WordPress.com account using jetpack connected services on your self-hosted site. Can you locate the feature on your dashboard?

Hi there!
To clear up any further confusion, there is WordPress.com and WordPress.org and they are two different entities.
We, WordPress.com, are a cloud-based platform where we manage WordPress sites, whereas WordPress.org is stand-alone software that you can download and self-host with any other hosting.
You can find more details about WordPress.com and WordPress.org on this support page:

As @therefoiam explained above, you can connect a self-hosted site to your WordPress.com account by installing Jetpack:
