WordPress account no longer attached to my site
-
Hi there, I originally had my site connected with my WordPress account, and it was in ‘My Sites’ on the upper left on my account page; however, Support from the theme I’d purchased was unable to log into my account and kept getting redirected (to a php login?), and I myself could only get to my site via the host (Bluehost). I was asked by Theme Support to reset my password — however, I was unable to change my password of my WordPress account, because I was then redirected.
After reading more on the forums, I found that I should check out my jetpack, and use debugging. I went to jetpack debugging, waited a couple of days, and here is what their support said: ‘Could you try to completely reinstall Jetpack? You can do this by deactivating and deleting Jetpack via Plugins->Installed Plugins, then reinstalling and activating via Plugins->Add New.’
I deleted and reinstalled jetpack, and kept getting an error ‘you’ve already used this password’ (or something similar) when I tried to put in a new password. The same thing happened, no matter what I changed the password to — even with the randomly generated passwords using the generating button. I then logged out, then back into my WordPress account, thinking that it was some type of bug.
So now I’m in a situation where I can finally log into my account — however, after uninstalling and reinstalling jetpack, my site is no longer attached to my WordPress account.
The Theme Support will not log in via my host to get to the missing site, and they will only log into my actual WordPress account. Could you help me with this? Thank you!
