wordpress and existing domains

  I have asked this but have since discovered that I can download the wordpress toolkit on my current host and I can install wordpress from there. Does that work and is it the easiest way to get wordpress up and running on my domain?

  When you install wordpress on your own hosting, you are using the open source wordpress.org. Their support is at https://wordpress.org/.
