wordpress and woo commerce work as two different sites in one?

    this might sound stupid but can wordpress and woo commerce work as a multi website. Say if you have a wholesale business and you want to use wordpress to promote your products with information, videos, reviews etc. Bat then use woo commerce in a separate area where you can sell online. How this works is a customer will visit your site and see a “shop online button”, when you press it it goes to the online store and you can purchase stuff using woo commerce. when you are done you can hit the go to main site button and you will be back on the wordpress site?

    You could easily add in link buttons to send viewers to a Woo Commerce site.
