WordPress app lost functionality – please add back
-
I generally do not auto-update apps for precisely this reason, but I just updated the iOS WordPress app to get dark mode. Great. However, now I can no longer see my own articles’ total view count under my own subheading in the stats page. Total site views are still there, and ‘posts and pages’ section still has entries which can be tapped to see the total views the article has gotten over several days (there’s a ‘>’ on the right hand side for each). However, when I look at the ‘authors’ section, I can expand my entry to see how many views each article got today, but can’t tap on any of the articles to see how they’ve done over several days.
This functionality already exists within the app – I can already do it through the ‘posts and pages’ section. But I can’t do it through the authors section. Each entry in the authors section just needs a link to the same information that it has in the posts and pages section, just like it used to have. This should be a simple enough thing to add.
This is crucial functionality because the site has hundreds of posts that get views every day, and searching through the list to see a post from a few days ago that’s still getting views is going to be a difficult thing to do.
This is the main purpose that I used the app for, so please add it back.
