  Hello there I have read your manuals and found them confusing I must admit. Is there a way I can discuss with someone how to back up my site per chance? Many thanks

  Ok, that is a self-hosted WordPress.org site, which we generally can’t help with here.

  To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  WordPress.org has complete documentation for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress.org at https://wordpress.org/support/ and support at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

  With all that standard reply stuff out of the way though, we do have our own backup product which of course we recommend: https://vaultpress.com/ basically choose a plan, install it, follow the setup steps, and it does the rest on its own. :)

  Yes, we do essentially host WordPress sites here, though what we offer is a bit different, so I recommend reading through http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  To move your self-hosted WordPress.org site to WordPress.com, just follow this guide: https://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-from-self-hosted-wordpress-to-wordpress-com/
