"WordPress" branding with No-Ads upgrade?
-
I want to start a new blog, but do not care to see any advertising or hosting branding whatsoever on my blog. I noticed the “$99 Value Bundle” that would allow me to map a domain name and remove ads from my blog. But, I’m not sure if that means that *ALL* hosting/wordpress branding is removed from the site or not? Can anyone clarify/confirm?

All that’s removed when one has the No-Ads upgrade as I do on my blog is the advertisements — nothing else.
Note this:
May I remove credit links such as ‘Blog at WordPress.com’, theme, font, or toolbar links?
All WordPress.com bloggers are required to maintain the credit links, even our VIP bloggers. Please do not hide the footer credits or the toolbar with CSS after purchasing a Custom Design upgrade. http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/#frequently-asked-questions -
Let me expand by saying there is no upgrade you can purchase form WordPress.com that removes all WordPress.com “branding”. if that’s what you want then hire a web host and set up a wordpress.org install.

Note that unless you are extremely lucky and clever, you will pay significantly more than $99 a year for that.
