wordpress breach?

  I have used a unique email address for my wordpress account. It recently (within the last week) started receiving spam emails. Has there been a breach at wordpress? Is this potential fallout from the cloudflare fiasco?

  When you spam emails, what kind of emails are they? Are they unwanted notifications for your site? Or are they emails from third parties?

  Has there been a breach at wordpress? Is this potential fallout from the cloudflare fiasco?

  There hasn’t been a breach. WordPress.com sites have not been affected by the recent Cloudflare issue — sites using Cloudflare are self hosted WordPress.org sites.

  Starting from the top:
  Yes, the address specified on my account page that says it will not be made public.
  When I say spam emails, I mean like the one quoted below (which ironically appears to link to a compromised WordPress site). They are from third parties and are labeled phishing attempts by Google.
