We are looking to try WordPress Business but wanted to know what sort of security it has. Does WordPress Business do back ups? How often? Who updates wordpress? Is there a demo we can try.

Hi there,
Short version – the only way someone can gain access to your WordPress.com account is if you are careless, not logging out and clearing cookies on shared computers, using insecure passwords, not enabling two-factor authentication, etc. We have various security measures in place, including automatic software updates to ensure no one can access your account without knowing or being able to reset your password. Of course I can’t say it’s impossible, but it’s very unlikely.
We also keep backups of all sites that we can restore in the event of a truly cataclysmic system failure, though these are not restored at request. If you’re on the Business Plan and using custom plugins on your site you’ll have the ability to roll back your site to specific points in time, though.
There is no demo or trial plan available. All sites on WordPress.com have the same features in terms of security and work basically the same, so in your site at http://cvntest.wordpress.com/ you can already see how everything works. Adding a paid plan just makes additional features available, with installing a plugin or custom theme on the Business Plan making the site work a little differently.
