WordPress causing Firefox to lag?

  Recently I’ve suddenly started having some pretty severe lag issues whenever I log into WordPress, primarily the reader, stats, dashboard, and edit post pages. Pages taking a while to load is one thing, but even if I leave and come back several minutes later then I’m still not able to scroll or type faster than 1-2 frames per second.

  Is this a common issue and is there anything I can do to fix it?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Disable all add-ons that you have installed in Firefox, restart the browser and then try again and see if that helps. There have been a number of Firefox add-ons lately that have caused a lot of mischief with wordpress.

  I’ve tried that and there doesn’t seem to be any difference.

  What version of Firefox are you using? I’m on FF 14.0.1 and don’t experience any issues with the dashboard or anything.

  Wait no, 4.0.1!

  Ok, so it turns out Firefox just never updated over the past year because I never run it as an administrator, but I’ve updated now and the problem seems fixed.
