wordpress.com account does not show my website
-
Hi, I created a wordpress.com account in march 2021 and used it to make a website. I use Bluehost as a web host. I used to have access to the back end of my site when I logged in to WP. I have not logged in for quite some time and when I do, the account says I have no websites yet! Help, where did my site access thru WP go? How do I gain access again. I don’t think I need account recovery because I can log into my account successfully. However, when I fill this form out and put my URL, I get this message as though I have another WP account: This site is linked to another wordpress.com account. If you’re trying to access it, please follow our account recovery procedure.
When I log into my bluehost account and click manage site, it just takes me to the view that the public see’s and not the back end. Any help is greatly appreciated! KathyWP.com: Yes

Hi there,
Hi there,
We can’t help directly because we don’t host your site on our WordPress.com managed hosting. As a result we don’t have the ability to take a closer look at your site.
Instead your host (Bluehost) uses the open-source variant of the WordPress platform which functions differently than what we offer here on WordPress.com. Specifically we use a custom login system on WordPress.com (for enhanced security) that also helps prevent this kind of lockout from occurring.
The good news is that as long as you have access to the server control panel through Bluehost, it is always possible to regain access to your self-hosted WordPress site. This WordPress.org support article will walk you through it: https://wordpress.org/support/article/resetting-your-password/
You can ask Bluehost support for direct assistance in completing the steps in that article; they would be in the best position to help.
Hope that points you in the right direction!
