WordPress compatibility with ThemeTrust theme?

  Up until two weeks ago I had a very well functioning website using the Infinity theme (Themetrust).

  All the content (Pages, Projects, Skills, together with images and text) are accessible via the ‘edit’ function for each item. But the ‘Home’ page is no longer displaying all the images, and the ‘Projects’ buttons on the Home page are no longer working.

  Is there any obvious reason why website is no longer ‘working’?
  Have recent WordPress updates led to compatibility problems?
  Are there obvious troubleshooting steps I’m missing for this kind of issue?
