WordPress Domain to Siteground

  I need to point our domain that we have purchased through wordpress.com to Siteground. I deleted our wordpress site and now can’t access the ‘Domains’ page to do so. We canceled our business plan here so I can’t get live help. We bought our domain less than 60 days ago. I’d like it to be all transferred to Siteground.

  Hi –

  When a domain is cancelled you are risking the loss of ownership. Once a domain starts through the cancellation process it can be impossible to recover that ownership as someone else can buy it ahead of you. This is not ideal.

  In this scenario we needed to restore the domain to your account to prevent such loss. I have done that.

  Now, you can proceed with pointing the domain to another service (SiteGround in this case). Ask SiteGround what their name servers are, then follow these instructions. The domain will load the SiteGround version of your site. WordPress.com is going to remain as your domain registrar, but that does not limit you to using the domain on our service.
