WordPress Export xml is broken.

    Why is WordPresses generating invalid (broken) xml for the export? The Atom namespace is not defined but is used. I am trying to use the exported file in a project of mine but each time I export I have to go in and remove the Atom references or I get a Atom name space is not defined. Loading the xml doc in Visual studios, ect show the xml is invalid. Is this being done intentionally to prevent easy migration from WordPress or on accident? I have noticed this problem for almost 6 months now and assumed it would have been fixed by now…. Then again I might be one of the first to mention it. Anyone know?
