‘WordPress for Free’

  I’ve registered with WORDPRESS under my business name & wanted to try the offer of ‘WordPress for Free’ (as per the website) to see if I could get on with building a website with the WORDPRESS products & then if satisfactory, migrate to a paid for plan. However, I’ve hit an immediate dead end, as I can’t get past the domain name settings. I already have a registered domain name with assocaited e-mails. So not too sure how to progress, please advise.

  Using a custom domain name does require a paid plan, but you certainly can get your site set up here for free before switching your domain over!

  When you sign up for a new site, we give you a free subdomain (*.wordpress.com) that you can use to start building your new site.
