  i have just opened an account on wordpress. i with to have a free blog on wordpress. however it gives me only paid options. please guide me how do i open a free blog

  Hi niveditaam,

  You can create a free site with an address containing “.wordpress.com” but custom domains (example.com) are only available through paid plans — which sounds like why you are being asked to upgrade.
