wordpress good for non-blog website?

  I want to make a website that allows me to put a list of sound recordings on a page. Perhaps when you click the sound file, besides playing, it will open up a transcript of the audio.

  On another page I’d like to put a video.

  On another page I’d like to put photos.

  The blog format doesn’t really work for what I have in mind. Can I do this with wordpress?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You can definitely do this on WordPress.com! I have a few questions. Are you going to be constantly adding to all three of these pages? Or do you just have a page worth of content for each that won’t change very often?

  I don’t anticipate the content changing very often. I may want to add to it from time to time. I may want to add more sound clips and categorize them, so maybe split them onto separate pages if I have a lot, but to start, just one page will do.
