WordPress is redirecting my site

  Hello,

  On the settings tab, I change my URL from ‘http://www.URL.com/wordpress’ to ‘http://www.URL.com’. I am using WordPress to update the current site and have not yet swapped over the webpages as the new site isn’t ready to go live yet. Once making the change to the URL under the settings, when I try to login to WordPress or to edit a page, it automatically redirects me to the old site and doesn’t allow me to edit.

  Anyone have any ideas of how to revert the change?

  Hi milesmcf,

  milesmcf.wordpress.com is the only site owned by the account you are logged in to and the address hasn’t been changed recently. Can you send a link to the site you need help with?

  If it is not hosted here on WordPress.com, please contact your host for help with reversing the domain change.

  I’ll be happy to check where the site is hosted if you aren’t sure :)
