wordpress not sending emails??

    no emails being sent?? i read it’s some php/smtp related problem or something? why would wordpress use a fucked up mail system and make us hire wordpress experts for normal site functionalities? i’ve checked everything and nothing is left to do to fix this on my end, do i have to install plugins and slow down the site just to be able to send normal emails?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Your site is not hosted on WordPress.com, but using the open source WordPress.org software. We cannot help with this in the WordPress.com forums.

    Please post in the self-hosted WordPress forums instead for help:

    https://wordpress.org/support/forums

    Or else try contacting your hosting provider, as the emails are being sent from their servers.
