WordPress.org Site, but somehow WordPress.com appeared and took over

    I have a WordPress.ORG site hosted by Godaddy. I was installing the SSL and my Woocommerce storefront site with a child theme disappeared and was replaced by a Hello World! Setup from WordPress.COM. Anyone have an idea how this happened? I tried backing up to a previous version, but the problem persisted. Godaddy was able to do something on their end and the site reverted to normal, but within 15 minutes the hello world blog post was back.

    Are you speaking of https://thcjiujitsu.com/?

    That site is connected to your WordPress.com account via the Jetpack plugin, which gives you the ability to manage your posts and pages, and some settings, via the WordPress.com dashboard.

    But we have no direct control over your site, and no possible way to take it over or make changes like automatically switching the theme. Our logs don’t show any changes at all to that site from our end since you connected it here three weeks ago.

    So I’m afraid I’m not able to tell you what happened here.
