WordPress Reader Themes
-
Hello all,
Ran across this post trying to get an answer for the same issue. I feel it was answered incorrectly. Please read further comments below the link.https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/how-to-change-appearance-in-reader/
What I got from the initial post was that the Member was trying to change the background color within the Reader tab portion of the site.
ANSWER to change the WordPress background color (Theme), perform the following.
1) Log in to your website to bring up your “My Site” / “Reader” page.
2) Click on your account picture (your face) (company icon) in the top right of the webpage.
3) Click on Account Settings.
4) In the right main part of the screen, scroll down to DASHBOARD COLOR SCHEME. Click the Theme color of your choice and be sure to click, “Save Account Settings”
5) Join me in not losing your mind any further to figure this out !!!
Enjoy !! 😂🤣The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hey there :)
From the other post:
I edited CSS to change the font and background color (and made some changes for character spacing within the post, also). On the site, my post looks exactly as I want it to. But, when viewed in the WordPress Reader, it looks like none of my changes have been applied
Those CSS changes to an individual post would not show up in the reader. But, your own reader can indeed be configured as you like!

Hi Supernovia,
I re-read my referenced post – again 😀 and all
I can say is, thanks for the classy way of telling me
that I’m so far off the mark it’s ridiculous. Also, the term Reader is being used by all of us in
2 different senses of the word.
1) as applying to the post in question, it appears that
the reader is the post preview window? ….. and2) as applying to the Reader Tab where other Blogs are
followed. That’s where my head was at.Thanks very much for replying here. Have a great day..!!

Hi there!
Just to make sure we’re on the same page here. In the post you mentioned, the Reader refers to the page on your WordPress.com account where you can see recent posts of blogs you’re following:
https://wordpress.com/support/reader/.
Your solution seems to be great if you want to change the overall color scheme on your account (that would include the Reader tab). The thread you mentioned seemed to be talking about how one’s posts are displayed in the Reader. I hope it all makes sense now :).
Also, remember that with your plan, you can access support anytime, directly via https://wordpress.com/help/contact.

Fresatomica,
My latest comment here reflects acknowledgement of the original point
that was being made..
I don’t see the necessity in continuing this discussion.
I had marked this as Resolved.
ALL STAFF: I trust there are others who are still dealing with unresolved issues?
I appreciate your time for commenting
here. Have a great day.mghd20
