WordPress says I have no site

My name is Art Curnutt. My site is mistywoodirrigation.com. The email associated with it is (email visible only to moderators and staff). My alternate email is (email visible only to moderators and staff).
I can’t login.
I have had WordPress send email links to both emails. I am recognized, but it says that I have no site and then it enthusiastically asks me to create one.
Also, it seems to think I’m art33373366 – heaven knows where that came from.
My daughter got this started and I want to edit and improve the site. It is a commercial site and not a blog or an ‘.org’.
I don’t know what the ‘jetpack’ is (which other users seem to refer to) and I’m quite confident I don’t have one. -

art33373366 is the username of the WordPress.com account that you created 15 hours ago to be able to post in this forum. But this account has nothing to do with your site at mistywoodirrigation.com.
That site belongs to a different WordPress.com account with the username, mistywoodirrigation.
If you don’t remember the login details for that account, please try using that username to reset the password via https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword. If you still have access to the correct email address you will then receive a password reset link that will allow you to log back in.
Make sure you log out of the art33373366 account first.

I was able to reset the password for the proper username.
This gets me to where I need to be which is editing my site.
Does WordPress have a step-by-step “WordPress for Morons” type of guide on-line? I haven’t found one that doesn’t seem to presume prior knowledge or isn’t about blogs.
Creating a Child Theme seems to be eluding me. -

Creating a Child Theme seems to be eluding me.
Can you tell me a bit about why you think you need to create a child theme? Perhaps there is a simpler way to achieve the same goal.
Using child themes are only possible on our Business Plan, but also falls under the “Very Advanced” heading, and you need a decent knowledge of CSS, PHP and how WordPress themes work in general to make one. While we’re happy to point you to the information you need to create a child theme, we do not directly support that level of advanced customization.
