WordPress Standard Text Responses
-
Where are standard emails that WordPress will send out upon request, such as the default reset (lost)password email text? I would assume somewhere there would be a short list of these that I could look at and determine if I would like to modify them to reflect my company colors and perhaps add a logo.
I’d really like to find all, but I read that the answer to find and modify the default reset (lost) password email text would be to use the retrieve_password_message filter. Unfortunately, I don’t understand where to find this filter or where or how to use it. I’ve spent a lot of time looking through support guides without much luck. Isn’t there an instructional video somewhere that explains where to find the standard WordPress email response messages and how to modify them?
I also found a plugin, https://wordpress.org/plugins/email-templates/ and tried installing it. It seems to be for someone trying to create a template from scratch, but I’m not sure because I couldn’t find any documentation or video on how to use this plugin either.
I thought I had navigated most of the trickier aspects of installing a Website, but have to admit this is really frustrating because it’s tough to find a starting point. I’m amazed I can’t even see a list of standard email templated WordPress uses for sending out messages.
Can someone help me get on a track to figure this stuff out? Thanks!!!
