WordPress start and importing theme

  Hi, I’ve never used wordpress before. i saw a theme online for a website that I want, but it’s for wordpress. if I download the teme how Do i implement it into wordpress? mporting theme from themeforest

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Themes can’t be uploaded to blogs hosted on WordPress.com. They can only be uploaded to self-hosted blogs running on WordPress.org software. You can read more about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org here: WordPress.com and WordPress.org

  Yes, I know. I have a domain name. how to synch up my self hosted domain to wordpress then do so? Thanks

  Hi there,

  I’m not sure I understand your question. Your domain rollioforce.com currently isn’t pointed to a WordPress site. If you’d like to point it at your WordPress.com site at the address http://rollioforce.wordpress.com/ you can update the domain’s name servers to the following:

  • NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
  • NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
  • NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

  However, please note that pointing your domain to your WordPress.com site means that your site will be hosted at WordPress.com (not WordPress.org) so you’ll need to use one of the themes available here at WordPress.com:

  http://theme.wordpress.com/

  If you’d like to set up a self-hosted WordPress site, you’ll need to use the free software from WordPress.org and install it at your host. You can find more information and support for that process at these links:

  Okay, so i bought a wordpress theme from themeforest.com. I own a domain name and already have a website up. Rollioforce.com. However, I would like to redo my website with the theme I bought. So I should map rollioforce.com to rollioforce.wordpress.com, and then I’ll be able to upload the theme/template and edit it & fill it with my own content?

  Nope, it isn’t possible to upload themes here at WordPress.com. If you map rollioforce.com to rollioforce.wordpress.com, you’ll need to choose from one of the WordPress.com themes here:

  WordPress themes have to be installed to work on your site. At WordPress.com, we have all of the available themes installed for you, so you can activate them on the site.

  If installing a specific theme is vital for your site, and that theme isn’t available here at WordPress.com, you’ll need to set up a self-hosted WordPress site instead using the software from WordPress.org.
