WordPress stats not working

  I work with my friend on our blog, and lately our wordpress stats do not show the right amount of views or visitor count.

  For instance, we’ve had three country flags with our view count but only one visitor?

  There’s also a flag counter widget on our blog that collects information regarding our visitors and that’s coming up with a different number to WordPress.

  Hi there,

  The discrepancy between the number of views and visitors in your stats is due to how we calculate those stats for your blog. Typically a view is reported within five minutes, while it can take up to two hours to report new visitors. At any given time, your visitor count may lag behind your view counts.

  One thing you can do is wait until the following day, and then check your stats for the previous day — that will help ensure that all the stats from that day have been calculated and you’re getting the complete data.

  Hi,

  Thank you for your response. Our Visitor and view count were correctly recorded up until yesterday, so I’m not really sure why the sudden lag?

  You mentioned the it takes up to 2 hours to report a new visitor, however it has been 5 hours, and it’s still only showing 1 visitor? we had the same issue yesterday and those stats were way off too and still are..

  Sorry about that! We received some additional reports about the same problem and found an issue that may be causing this. Our team is investigating that now. I’ll let you know when I get an update about that!

  Hi there,

  I got an update from our team: They found and fixed the issue causing this stats glitch. Your stats should catch up and be back to normal in the next hour or so.

  You may need to refresh your browser or clear your browser’s cache after that if your stats still look wrong.. If you have any trouble with them after that please let me know. :)
