WordPress Tag & Scheduling Problems
-
My posts are not being posted on the scheduled time and date anymore. Also, my post are not showing up in the tags or if I search the entire name of the article.
I refreshed numerous times and re-downloaded the app and I still have the same problem.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Of which app are you speaking?
Can you please provide a link to a specific post that’s not appearing in tag search for you? Note that searching the title of a post won’t ever bring it up in Tag search. And it’s not guaranteed to bring up the post in the main Reader search either, as Reader search looks for key word matches in the post content, not for exact matches with the site or post title.
As for the scheduled posts, please make sure the time zone setting under My Site ->Settings for your site is the same as the time zone settings for your computer.

Hi,
Its the WordPress app for non-hosted sites.
Here’s links to the las couple of posts that are appearing in their tags and in the reader when you search:
http://wp.me/p8Ljg5-7e
http://wp.me/p8Ljg5-56
http://wp.me/p8Ljg5-7t
http://wp.me/p8Ljg5-7zAll of my previous posts showed up the tag indicated on the post with # and shows up when I seaech for them in the reader.
My timezones for some reason was changed and my account is constantly set to private when its normally public (this is on the app). I changed it back to my desired settings.
Could someone have hacked into my account or is this an app issue?

I have no idea what you’re referring to. What is a “non-hosted” site?
Are you using the WordPress.com Desktop app, or a mobile app? If the latter, the iOS or the Android app?

Links to posts that are appearing doesn’t help. You said some of your posts are NOT appearing. I need links to those posts.
All of my previous posts showed up the tag indicated on the post with #
I don’t understand what you mean. WordPress.com does not use “hashtags” like Twitter does, and your post won’t show all tags you added to it in the Reader. It will show up in the tag listing for a specific tag, provided you aren’t using too many tags in the post.
But you’ve recently published some posts using more than 15 tags and categories combined, and I see you have some scheduled also using more than 15, and that can cause your site to be excluded from tag listings for a time.
My timezones for some reason was changed and my account is constantly set to private when its normally public (this is on the app)
A WordPress.com account cannot be set to private. It’s impossible as that option doesn’t exist. Only a site can be set to private. I see that setting has been changed several times on your account recently, between hidden from search engines and public, but I don’t see any password resets which would indicate someone else accessed your account.
If you suspect someone might have accessed your account, reset your password and activate two factor authentication so they can’t access it again.

Let me clarify for you.
1. I’m referring to wordpress.com on the IOS app
2. The links provided are the posts that I’m referring to. They are not showing up if I search for them in the reader (regardless of tags).
3. There is a hashtag feature on each post (if tags are used) in the IOS app, but that is irrelevant.
4. I have since removed tags to make sure each post is well under 15 tags and categories combined and I’m still not seeing those specific posts (links in the previous comment) in the reader.
5. In regards to the WordPress account being “private”, I was referring to the specific site.
6. Could you tell me why my scheduled posts are not posting? -
1. I’m referring to wordpress.com on the IOS app
Thanks for clarifying.
3. There is a hashtag feature on each post (if tags are used) in the IOS app
Ah, okay. The mobile apps display tags with a # in front of them, because that’s what mobile users who are used to Twitter expect. But they’re just the regular tags added to your posts, and we don’t use the term “hashtag” on WordPress.com. Hashtags belong to Twitter.
They are not showing up if I search for them in the reader (regardless of tags).
Tag search will list a post under the listing for that specific tag, provided you don’t use too many tags. The Reader search, on the other hand, looks at the content of your posts, so there is no guarantee your post will appear for any given search term, just like there’s no guarantee your post will appear in a Google search for a given term.
Reader search will typically also just list one result per site, so if there are more than one post on your site matching the search term, only the one our system thinks is most relevant will appear. It won’t necessarily be the most recent.
4. I have since removed tags to make sure each post is well under 15 tags and categories combined and I’m still not seeing those specific posts
It might take some time before your posts will start appearing in tag listings again. If you use too many tags, our system flags you as a possible spammer. Keep publishing posts with fewer tags, and that flag should be removed from your site again.
6. Could you tell me why my scheduled posts are not posting?
I don’t see any scheduled posts on your site that failed to publish. The next scheduled post, Are You A Well Behaved Woman?, is not set to publish several hours from now. If that time comes and the post doesn’t publish, don’t publish it manually and let me know so I can take a look.
However, note that scheduled posts only actually publish the first time someone views your site after the scheduled time. The way scheduled posts work it requires someone looking at your site to trigger the publication. So if you schedule your posts for a time of day when you don’t already get a lot of traffic it might seem like there is a delay in the publication.
In those cases you can trigger it yourself by viewing your site in a logged out/private/incognito browser window.
