WordPress unable to create directories for Themes and Plugins.
-
Hi!
I’m sending this e-mail because of some problems with my site. I decided to reset my site, and after following the instructions found here (https://blog.hubspot.com/website/reset-wordpress) I reseted my site doing so WITHOUT a plugin.
After creating a new database and installing WordPress again successfully, I’ve run into the error in which I’m unable to install any themes or plugins, with an error occurring saying ‘Installation failed: could not create directory.’
I’ve already done some research on forums first and found suggestions on changing permissions (see https://www.cloudways.com/blog/wordpress-installation-failed-could-not-create-directory/).
However, doing so did not solve the problem for me, no matter what permissions I changed and how many times I’ve tried.
Any suggestions on how to fix this? I was planning on setting up my new site soon so…
Thanks in advance!WP.com: Unknown

Hi there,
The best place to get help with that is to post in the official WordPress.org support forums:
https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
The forum you have posted is for the WordPress.com hosting platform, which is different than the WordPress software that your site is using. You can learn more about these differences here:
