WordPress upgrade shut down the website

  I am unable to access my website on the front end or the back end. This is the message I am receiving Your server is running PHP version 5.5.38 but WordPress 5.2 requires at least 5.6.20. Also signed into wordpress to look at my account and I am told I do not have a site.
