WordPress vs Site Address

  Hi there, i’ve been building my site on mydomain.com/wp and now that the site is done, how do i make it live on mydomain.com?

  I’m in General Settings page but i’m quite worried about just changing the wordpress address from mydomain.com/wp to mydomain.com and bring down the whole website. Are there any other additional steps i need to do before i go live?
