WordPress xml Import stuck at "Processing" for 3 days but no progress

  It has been more than three days since the last import I tried. WordPress.com support email did not reply/resolve my matter while I am waiting for a reply for the past two days.

  The issue is that I tried importing a backup from another webhost (using WordPress and WP export) that is of size 14.9MB but it is still stated as :
  Import WordPress
  Processing…
  We’re processing your import now and will send you an email when it’s all done. If you don’t hear from us within 24 hours, please contact support, and we’ll get everything fixed.

  Only some posts and pages are imported so far but a handful are still not imported since then. There is no progress of import past 24hours, but it states that the content is still processing. I am also unable to re-import again. I hope someone would let me know how to follow up with this issue as I can’t hold on any longer and see no progress..

  Not to worry. Sometimes the importer gets stuck. I tagged this thread for Staff to reset it for you. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond. To subscribe:

  I don’t see a stalled import on your site independentabecedarian.wordpress.com. Are you still having trouble with this?

  Thank you timethief, I have subscribed to this thread when I posted the issue.

  Shawnajroberts, Lisa from the community guardian had reseted the importer just before your reply. The importer is reseted now. I have tried reuploading the import (14.9MB). I hope it would pass the 15MB max size criteria.

  Hi Shawnajrobets, I have tried reuploading the import since that day but it stalled again till now the last I checked.
  Please reset it again for me and let me know what went wrong/I should do onwards.

  I’ve cleared that for you. Since your file is so close to the maximum, you may need to break it into smaller pieces to upload it. Let me know if you need help doing that.
