WordPress.com and Share This/Like This, etc. plugins (few questions)

  Hello,

  A few days ago I made a WordPress.com account and set everything up, including the theme, the sharing options, etc.

  But then today I signed up for web hosting, then decided to install a self-hosting WordPress blog on my server as it seemed better(and it is). Also exported all posts, etc, then imported everything to the new WordPress blog.

  So basically, I noticed on my WordPress.com blog, how underneath each post it has some “Share this” options, along with a “Like this” option, which both look really cool. Also, there’s a “Rate This” option above posts, as well.

  My question is, how can I use these same exact WordPress.com options on my self-hosted WordPress blog? Are these options a part of the theme or just a part of a certain version of WordPress?

  Please let me know, as I’ve been searching for these plugins but for some reason cannot find them.

  I’m sorry but those are only WordPress.COM in-house widgets. I suggest that you could use the Jetpack plugin and select to use the sharedaddy sharing icons.

  The ratings are also in-house but I do believe there will be some plugins out there for WordPress.ORG installs. Try here.

  Ahh, okay, had a feeling that was the case.

  There are no standalone widgets like that? I’ve installed the Jetpack plugin, but those widgets just don’t offer the same kind of flare that the WordPress.com ones offer.
