WordPress.com plugin request
-
Inspired by http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/, here is a wordpress.com plugin request. I would like to have an index page on my blog http://force201.wordpress.com/ to make the titles of the 75 posts visible in one list as this blog is about programming techniques that apply in the long run rather than about current events. Then a user browsing would be able to find posts containing keywords they might be interested in a little more easily.
This plugin http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/azindex/ may be a good starting point.
Thanks,
Keith

You might want to check out the archives shortcode:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/archives-shortcode/
You could paste that shortcode into a new page, and then set that page as your static front page:

Thanks that worked well and I’m now using it.
The only feature I couldn’t see is that the asc/desc ordering relates to the posting date so its not possible to get the items ordered alphabetically by title which is a pity as it makes the listing less like an index than would be ideal.
