wordpress.com redirects to www.wordpress.com and Fails

  Hi
  I have been haveing this problem for a little over a week now. Part of the time when I an visiting http://wordpress.com, my blogs and my dashboard I have access and a blog and work easily. However presitently when I visit http://wordpress.com or my blogs I am redirected to http://www.wordpress.com which is a generic parked or reserved domain that I am sure is not a part of wordpress.com.
  When this happens I have no access to http://wordpress.com.

  I use a Mac. This problem show up on all browsers. I have cleared my cache. Any ideas why this is happening.

  When anyone purchases a domain, the www subdomain automatically comes with it, so wordpress does own the www subdomain. When I type in the wordpress address without the www I get the main wordpress page. When I type in the address with the www in it, I’m redirected to the main wordpress page.

  When you cleared your cache, did you also clear your cookies? If not log out of wordpress, clear your browser cache and cookies, restart your browser and then see if that fixes the problem.

  It could also be any number of things on the internet between you and wordpress such as an invisible proxy server that is acting up.

  Also, if you are on DSL or a cable modem, try rebooting it.
