  I want to build my website with wordpress. I have my own domain. I don’t want my .com address to then have .wordpress.com after it. How can I do this

  You can do that by registering a custom domain:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/register-domain/

  Or, if you already have a domain registered elsewhere, by setting up domain mapping:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
