This is not about WordPress.com but WordPress.org. For lack of help ANYWHERE, I came here.
WHERE does one go to get access to WordPress.org?? so I can participate in that forum? I registered, but never received an email confirmation. Several hours later I put in my username, which it accepted and when it didn’t accept my password (because I still didn’t receive confirmation email) I clicked on forgot and got the same message that in a few minutes I would get a confirmation email, but I never did.
It’s absolutely irritating – it says if you don’t receive it to email the webmaster – for which you do not find a link anywhere or to submit question to the forum – for which you can’t because you aren’t registered???!! This issue is in their database in the forum, BUT, it says “click here” for the solution and when you go, the webpage is no longer valid. It’s down.
Any help would be appreciated.

Check your ISP spam filter for the confirmation email. Sometimes ISP spam filters are a little too aggressive.
Past that, we cannot help since we know little about that site or about the .ORG software. Things here are different in key ways.

To: thesacredpath – many thanks for your reply. I should have mentioned that I did, and have ever since I first registered, been checking my spam filter, but no confirmation has ever come in. I did write to someone in the organization named “Matt” who they said would probably just toss it in the mail if it has anything to do with support, but I gave it a try anyway, making the most of the subject line to get his attention. Wish me luck! I just can’t believe how silly this is. They insist you use the forum for questions, but yet you can’t because you can’t confirm registration.
In any case, I appreciate your prompt response to my dilemma and will continue to check the spam filter.
