Work on existing site

    We have a site hostet elsewhere. I wish to build a wordpress site, but keep the old until the wordpress is good to go.

    Hi there,

    If you create a site on WordPress.com it will have no effect at all on your existing site.

    When you create a site with us we give you a free address at which you can work on that site, and that you can use for as long as you want. If you want to use your domain for your existing site with the new site, you can wait to switch it over until the new site is complete.

    However, note that to connect your existing domain to your WordPress.com site you will have to upgrade the WordPress.com site to one of our paid plans.
