    We already have a Word Press website. I don’t know who created but we can not update it and would like to start fresh. Can we create a new website using our current domain name?

    Hi there,

    Yes you can fully set up your new site with us and you have the option to use our assigned “staging” address to get the site ready. When you are ready to “launch” the new site to replace the current one, that is when you will want to “map” or transfer your domain to us.

    Please note that to connect your domain you will need one of our plans listed here, which all include a free domain transfer as part of the plan: https://wordpress.com/pricing/

    Also to use your existing domain with a new site here you will need to be the owner of the domain. To clarify, you registered the domain under an account you fully control?
