WP Admin Console – Site Cannot Be Accessed
-
Hello,
We’ve recently been notified that malware has been uploaded to our site, so we’ve been working with our hosting provider to address this will a rollback to a couple months back, so we’ll see what comes of that. However, while that was going on I attempted a clean install of the WP package by following some guides online, however, that didn’t seem to change anything with regard to our access. I’ve also made sure to reset all of the relevant account passwords as well, just to be sure none of our changes would be overwritten by a malicious party that may have compromised one of our accounts. Unfortunately we couldn’t use one of the available security plugins because whenever we attempt to launch any plugins this malware restricts our access as well. Very frustrating.
Wanted to see what options/recommendations WP may have in this situation while we wait to hear back from our hosting provider, especially if this rollback isn’t effective.
