  I am very new to WordPress and I cannot find the directory wp-content/plugins anywhere! Please help!

  This is WordPress.com. That is a feature found with WordPress.org sites. The WordPress.com site linked to your name has been deleted. If you’re talking about another WordPress.com site note that we cannot add extra plugins and only get popular pre-loaded plugins and the ones that are available with upgraded plans as detailed here:-

  Thank you for your reply but I am even more confused now.

  I did delete the free site (www.ahesitanthousewife.wordpress.com) but activated a self-hosted site (www.ahesitanthousewife.com). My new user name for the self hosted site is Sloane. My old user name for the free site was SomethingSpecialinYou.

  When I go to view my profile, everything shows my settings for the self-hosted site but when I go to activate plug ins such as Jetpack and Akismet, it keeps bring up the SomethingSpecialinYou user name. I have tried signing out of that account and signing in under the username for my self-hosted account by it will not let me.
